Tongues were wagging when news got out that T.I. had laced his ride-or-die fiancée Tiny with a brand spankin’ new Porsche Panamera Turbo in February. Well, I just happened to be walking in, very late, to Tiny’s Alzheimer’s research fundraiser event in Atlanta when she and the patrons came running out of the venue. Her hairdresser said, “Jamie follow us outside. There’s a big surprise for her from T.I.”
T.I. presented the car wrapped with a big red bow. I immediately turned around, ran down the steps and as I approached, Tiny was saying, “OMG, hop in, let’s ride!” Two of her friends were in and then there was me. I wasted no time hopping my happy self inside that sexy Porsche! It was hysterical. She didn’t know how to let the window down. She couldn’t put the car in gear and was looking for a key. She’s so real. That’s my baby.
I didn’t even know T.I. was there. After Tiny took us for a ride and returned, T.I. stuck his head in the car to see if she liked it. He looked and said, “Jamie, is that you? When did you get here? Boy, you can always get the scoop!” He laughed with that gorgeous smile.
T.I. waited until the event was over to present the car, so as not to overshadow the cause. Tiny’s father suffers from Alzheimer’s and T.I.’s father died from it. My mom died from it too.
Tiny’s dad may have Alzheimer’s, but that didn’t stop him from performing with his group The Tamms, led by Tiny’s brother. Other performers that hit the stage included the OMG Girlz, Jaheim, Kandi Burruss and Tiny herself! Tiny sang with her former Xscape groupmate Kiesha Babi. It will all be on the new season of BET’s “Tiny & Toya.” But read more about it in Tiny’s interview in this issue.
By the way, Toya’s new beau is MempHitz, who is an A&R man at Sony. He’s a chocolate Reese’s Pieces and that girl is happy. That makes me happy because she has been very leery of giving away her heart. I hope it works out because I’ll be whipping some tail if anyone hurts my Toya.
Also, I met James DuBose, CEO of DuBose Entertainment, His company puts together successful reality shows like “Tiny & Toya” as well as “The Michael Vick Project,” “Monica: Still Standing” and “Frankie & Neffe.” He’s a young’un who’s doing his thing.
