LisaRaye McCoy had another birthday celebration in Washington, D.C., last night at the posh Willard InterContinental Hotel. The actress, who looks more beautiful in person, walked in with Al Sharpton. Al’s National Action Network hosted the event for her during Congressional Black Caucus week.
LisaRaye graciously greeted her guests and took pictures before a D.C. councilmember presented her with a resolution making September 24 her day.
Al Sharpton shared warm remarks with the crowd explaining why he is a fan of LisaRaye and the work she’s done both as a first lady in Turks and Caicos and as a rising star. Al said LisaRaye was one of the few celebs who supported Michael Jackson when he accused his record label of robbing him. He also praised her for spending time with at-risk girls.
LisaRaye says the moments she spends doing selfless acts are some of her best memories and that’s what she wants people to see on her TV One reality show that will debut in spring 2010. She was shooting a show before she separated from Michael Misick.
