Katt Williams' lawyer said the comedian was arrested on false accusations of burglary.
 

TMZ.com reported earlier that Katt was arrested for breaking into a Georgia home. Now his lawyer, William Briggs, has said the comedian was actually a guest at the house he was allegedly invading. The residence belongs to Barry Hankerson, and Katt has been staying there for the last few weeks while he shoots a film.
 

William claims that Katt was arrested after one of Barry's disgruntled employees called the cops, falsely accussing Katt of trespassing. However, the lawyer told TMZ that Barry had given the funnyman "full permission" to be in the house.
 

Katt is currently being held at the Coweta County Jail in Georgia on burglary and criminal trespassing charges. He's expected to face a judge sometime today.
