Toni Braxton is the latest celebrity ready to sign divorce papers.

Toni Braxton is the latest celebrity ready to sign divorce papers.
Essence.com reported that Toni has separated from her husband, Keri Lewis, after eight years of marriage.
This news comes days after she shared a steamy smooch Trey Songz onstage at the Soul Train Awards. The kiss was part of their “Yesterday” performance at the ceremony, which Keri attended with Toni.
The estranged couple, who were first seen together on the set of her video “He Wasn’t Man Enough For Me,” has sons together. No reason for the split has been announced.
Between the breakup and her career Toni will be one very busy woman: The diva was recently signed to Atlantic Records, and her label debut/comeback album is slated to drop on February 2, 2010. The first single from the untitled project will be “Yesterday,” featuring Trey Songz.

I tend not to speculate about anybody's relationship because I (as well as most of you) have no real inside knowledge of what goes on between two people. Still, my heart cries each time I see couples end their marriages and leave children with the inability to be with both their parents on a continual basis. Toni and Kerry, I had hoped, would be one of those couples that weathered the storm; I'm saddened that they did not. My prayer for the two of them is to remember they have two precious children whose needs should supersede anything else that's going on between them. I would hope that they would be respectful to and of each other, because the rest of the nonsense is nothing more than something for people to gossip and speculate about.
