Lil' Wayne fans take note: the much-anticipated documentary The Carter is on its way.

The film takes an unprecedented look inside the inner workings of Team Wayne, following him as he records, tours and interviewing Weezy and his colleagues.

Though well-received by the press and the indie film circuit (it was an official selection of both the Sundance Film Festival and the Stockholm International Film Festival), Wayne's people previously tried to block the release because it featured, none-too-subtly, his infamous use of un-prescribed cough medicine.

The film was produced by Quincy Jones III's QD3 company and directed by Adam Bhala Lough. It's available for pre-order now and will be released on DVD on November 11.
