The Los Angeles Police Department says Rihanna has suffered “horrific” injuries after an alleged attack early Sunday morning.

LAPD said pictures of Rihanna taken after the incident show that she has a split lip, a bloody nose and contusions on both sides of her head, TMZ reports.  The bumps have swollen so badly one cop said that “[It] looked like she was growing devil horns.”  It’s also been confirmed that she does have bite marks on her arm and several of her fingers.

According to TMZ, Rihanna wasn’t the one who called police about the fight.  However, she said she was injured when Chris Brown struck her with his fists.

Now it seems that Sunday morning might not have been the first time the couple had fought during Grammy Weekend.

Reportedly, Rihanna and Chris had been seen fighting as early as Friday night at Boulevard 3 nightclub in Hollywood. "They were in this room and they were just screaming at each other, totally cussing each other out,” a source told Life & Style. "They were screaming 'F*** you,' 'No, f*** you' at each other, back and forth. They were right in each other's face."

The eyewitness also told Life & Style that Chris & Rihanna were surrounded by executives who all just stood by and acted as if the couple wasn't fighting.

Chris turned himself in to LAPD on Sunday evening because of a felony battery investigation against him.

The case is being handed over to the Los Angeles County District Attorney’s office.  Domestic violence charges could be added to the case if they decide to file suit.
