Messy hair, bold lips abound at Fashion Week

If we are to believe that Fashion Week predicts how we'll look for seasons (and sometimes years) to come, then this fall you're sure to sport a messy-sexy 'do and fire-engine red lip color. New York's Fashion Week is only halfway done, but from the looks of shows like Rag and Bone, Miss Sixty and Diane von Furstenberg, neat, precision hair is out and messy, just-rolled-around-in-bed hair is completely in.

    The Hair

Rag and Bone. We love how her low bun has a few wispy strands blowing free. Check out a step-by-step guide to the style from Frederic Fekkai stylist Teddy Charles.

Miss Sixty. Wholly overgrown roots and semi-straight locks get the message across. The message, of course, being: I'm too way cool to care about my hair. Get the look here.

Diane von Furstenberg. From what we could see (most of the models' heads were covered with amazingly plush-looking toppers), the hair was straight with slight bends for movement.

    The Face

Tracy Reese. Soft eyes, feminine blush and soft, dark lip color rule for T. Reese's models. Makeup artist Charlotte Willer shows how to recreate the look.

Jason Wu. Deep red lip color is all you notice during the designer's (a favorite of Michelle Obama) show. Makeup artist Gucci Westman created his "ethereal" look with these tools.

    Weekly Inspiration

Procrastination is the fear of success. People procrastinate because they are afraid of the success that they know will result if they move ahead now. Because success is heavy, carries a responsibility with it.
