1. Drake delivers grad speech
Drake had a few words of advice for his classmates during his graduation ceremony at the Jarvis Collegiate Institute in Toronto on Friday night.
While most teens look at high school classes as that annoying thing that happens between the important moments of their lives, Drake reminded them how important it is to stay in school.
"What this is about, today, for all of you, is the art of following through and that is one of the most important life lessons that my uncle has taught me," said Drake. "Tonight you followed through with a straight shot and for that, you should give yourself a round of applause."
The "Take Care" rapper, who finally earned his high school diploma at the age of 26 after dropping out of high school years ago, admitted that he had to double back in order to follow through.
He added, "What I want to tell you today that it’s about going there, not getting there. Sometimes it’s the journey that teaches you a lot about your destination."
