3. Kardashians threatened with beautiful lawsuit
One makeup company is mad at the Kardashians for stealing its style. The sisters are releasing their own line of cosmetics which they have dubbed Khroma Beauty. While the misspelled name makes sense for the Kardashians, one Beverly Hills beauty company thinks it’s encroaching on its brand.
According to TMZ.com, Michael Rey, co-owner of Chroma Makeup, is concerned that the Kardashians’ makeup line could cause a little confusion for consumers. While Khroma Beauty will be sold in CVS, Sears and Ulta stores, Michael said his company has worked hard to cultivate an upscale clientele.
Now, Michael has hired lawyers for the matter, but no legal action has been taken at this time. Supposedly, he hopes Kim and clan will change the name without being dragged into court. In the meantime, Michael has sent a statement to his customers stating that Chroma is not associated with the Kardashians’ “low-budget cosmetic products.”
