Quvenzhané Wallis has set a new record! The Huffington Post reports that at just 9 years old, Quvenzhané is the youngest actress ever to get an Academy Award nomination for Best Actress.
Her work as Hushpuppy in Beasts of the Southern Wild earned her the prestigious nod. "It makes me feel excited pretty much," Quvenzhané told "Entertainment Tonight" of her historic nomination."It makes me feel special, too."
She’s up against Jessica Chastain (Zero Dark Thirty), Jennifer Lawrence (Siver Linings Playbook), Naomi Watts (The Impossible) and Emmanuelle Riva for (Amour). Find out if Quvenzhané takes home the Oscar for Best Actress when the 85th Annual Academy Awards airs February 24.
