Number seven was lucky for Rihanna! After six successful releases, Rihanna finally got her first #1 album in the U.S. with Unapologetic.
RiRi may not have been expecting the album to hit #1 because she seemed genuinely shocked as she shared the news with fans, whom she shared the victory with.
"Wait!!!!! What the F*CK?!!!! #UNAPOLOGETIC just debuted at #1 in AMERICA!!!!! My first number 1 album there!!! Thank you Navy, u deserve it," Rihanna tweeted yesterday. "I’m legit crying like a p*ssy right now!! #UNAPOLOGETIC"
Her label, who is just as thrilled with the news, also offered up some congratulations promptly.
“We are so proud and happy to deliver Rihanna her first #1 album in the U.S.,” President and COO of the Island Def Jam Music Group Steve Bartels said in a statement. “The team here really pulled together and gave this project their all."
