4. Game gets people to the polls
Game wasn’t about to let Hurricane Sandy keep people from casting their votes. During a chat on "Rap Fix Live," the rapper clarified claims the he was paying people to vote.
"The story got a little misconstrued as it flowed through the media. They tried to make it seem like I was paying people to go vote," said Game, who explained that he simply gave stranded people money for subway passes in order to get to the polls. The rapper didn’t understand how hard it was for people to get gas until he went to New Jersey and saw dozens of cabs waiting in line, while other people literally walked to the station with cans.
"Once they opened a couple of the trains again, I just was giving people $20 because I felt that would get you to and from a poll," Game explained. "We said we were gonna keep it at $10,000 and give 500 people $20 and let them rock. We even put some people in a car service, dropped them off at polls and kept going."
