1. Trailer: Will and Jaden Smith’s ‘After Earth’
Will and Jaden Smith are fighting for their own survival in the first trailer for the upcoming sci-fi adventure flick After Earth.
The film takes place 1,000 years after mankind was forced to leave Earth and find a new home in a place called Nova Prime. Will plays a general with the super-tough moniker Cypher Raige and Jaden plays his estranged 13-year-old son, Kitai. The pair are out flying around when an asteroid storm forces them to crash land on a strange and now-hostile Earth. It’s up to Kitai to brave the wilderness and find their rescue beacon in order to save his father, who has suffered serious injury.
This will be Will and Jaden’s first film together since The Pursuit of Happyness. After Earth—which will be preceded by a novel, a comic book and digital shorts—is due in theaters on June 7.
