1. Barack, Michelle Obama celebrate second inauguration
President Barack Obama was publicly sworn into office Monday, Jan. 21, 2013 for his second term, in a historical day tied to American Civil Rights leader Dr. Martin Luther King Jr.
Of course, some of the biggest stars helped celebrate the big day. Kelly Clarkson gave a moving performance of "My Country Tis of Thee" and James Taylor sang "America the Beautiful."
Then there’s Beyonce, who gave a chilling performance of the National Anthem.
Later in the evening, all were watching during the presidential couple’s first dance, while Jennifer Hudson performed Al Green’s "Let’s Stay Together."
Michelle Obama dazzled in a custom-made gown by Jason Wu, the designer who created her first inaugural ball gown.
The festivities continued as Stevie Wonder performed his own classic, "Signed, Sealed, Delivered, I’m Yours," and Alicia Keys sang "Girl on Fire" but changed the words to "Obamas on Fire."
