2. Spike Lee calls ‘Django’ a ‘disrespectful’ film
Spike Lee is nothing if not critical, and the filmmaker responsible for classics such as School Daze and X, has nothing nice to say about Django Unchained.
Of course, that may have something to do with the fact that he hasn’t seem the movie, but that hasn’t kept Spike from calling it "disrespectful" to his enslaved ancestors.
"I can’t speak on it ’cause I’m not gonna see it," Spike told Vibe TV. "All I’m going to say is that it’s disrespectful to my ancestors. That’s just me…I’m not speaking on behalf of anybody else."
Spike may be a little less than objective, though, considering his long-standing feud with Quentin Tarantino, who uses the N-word a bit too much for Spike’s liking.
