5. Usher takes a seat on ‘The Voice’
Usher is settling into his new role on NBC’s "The Voice" quite nicely. An official shot of the "Scream" singer has popped up online. He predicts that he’ll be one of the toughest coaches on the show during his brief tenure.
"My style is more military than anything because I’m all about the preparation," Usher explained. "My style is to make them understand the seriousness of the craft and that they have the very best opportunity to be the greatest—or the worst—depending on how you take it."
For those questioning whether recruiting Usher to fill in for Cee Lo Green makes sense, his new competitive co-star Adam Levine of Maroon 5 put it in perspective.
"As much as I hate to say this about another coach in the beginning, Usher has done what this show has yet to do—launch a superstar and that’s our goal," he said in a statement, likely referring to Usher’s protege Justin Bieber. "That’s something we want to do as an institution."
