9. Naomi Campbell mugged in Paris
Naomi Campbell is recovering from a leg injury after getting attack in Paris. The New York Post reports that the model was mugged while trying to hail a cab last month.
“It was terrifying. Naomi believes the assailant had been watching her, casing her out, and waited for a moment to strike when she was alone," a source told the Post. Reportedly, Naomi suffered a torn ligament and she’s now using a wheel chair and crutched to get around.
“Her leg was injured as she was violently pushed to the ground. She was understandably very upset and shaken up,” the source said. Supposedly the thieves were going for the expensive jewelry that Naomi had on at the time, but it’s not clear whether they managed to get anything off of her.
The model is currently on the mend. Naomi’s billionaire beau Vladimir Doronin immediately had Naomi flown to Vail, Colorado, where she was treated by a top orthopedic surgeon.
When asked how she’s doing, Naomi said, “I am sorry, I do not talk to press, but I am fine.”
