Lou Myers dead at 77
Lou Myers has passed away at the age of 77. Perhaps best known for his role as Mr. Gaines on “A Different World,” Lou also appeared on “Living Single,” “Tin Cup,” “Lackawanna Blues,” “NYPD Blue” and “The Wedding Planner.”
TMZ.com reports that he was rushed to Charleston Medical Center yesterday, where he did from heart failure while he was in a coma. Although Lou has dealt with heart issues as he got older, there will be an autopsy to determine the official cause of his death.
For his last role, Lou played a character called Mr. Harlan in a movie title Dreams, set to release some time this year. He’ll receive a military burial since he served in the Army. Lou is survived by a son and his mother.
