Beyoncé and Jay-Z are happily married now, and that might be because they took the time to really get to know each other before they started dating.
“We were friends first for a year and a half before we went on any date—on the phone for a year and a half," Beyoncé revealed in a new teaser for her special episode of "Oprah’s Next Chapter."
She added that just knowing him helped shape her into the woman that stomps across stages with style as she sings empowering anthems. “I would not be the woman I am if I did not go home to that man," said Bey. "It gives me such a foundation. Just to have someone that you just like is so important. Someone that is honest.”
