9. PETA’s mad about Beyoncé’s Super Bowl outfit
You mad, PETA? The animal advocacy group is not feeling Beyoncé’s Super Bowl halftime show, and it wasn’t because of Michelle Williams.
PETA Is taking issue with the fact that Bey chose to wear leather as part of her halftime costume. The company issued a statement suggesting that Bey would no longer want to wear any material made from animals if she saw what it took to make leather and fur.
"We would take a bet that if Beyoncé watched our video exposés…she’d probably not want to be seen again in anything made of snakes, lizards, rabbits, or other animals who died painfully," a rep for PETA said in a statement. "Today’s fashions are trending toward humane vegan options, and Beyoncé’s Super Bowl outfit missed the mark on that score."
The outfit, designed by Rubin Singer, was fashioned around the concept of a warrior woman/glamazon.
