Lenny Kravitz replaced in ‘Sexual Healing’
Jesse L. Martin is taking over the lead role in Marvin Gaye’s biopic “Sexual Healing.”
Last year it was announced that Lenny Kravitz would be playing the soul singer, but that’s changed. According to The Hollywood Reporter, Jesse has reclaimed the role after five years. Back in 2008, Jesse has been attached to film to play Marvin, but the project hit a road block.
After the project came off of being stalled, Lenny signed on the film in 2012. At the time, it was originally supposed to focus on Marvin’s time in London as he battled drug addiction and depression. Now, Sexual Healing will be centered on Marvin trying to make a comeback.
Filming is scheduled to start later this month.
