7. Shaq earns doctoral degree
Shaq’s got a new alias: Dr. O’Neal. The former NBA star, who once aspired to be an officer of the law, has just earned his doctoral degree in Education from Barry University. To get the accolade, Shaq had to do a little more than show up and give a speech. He had get in the books.
"Everyone thinks this is honorary. But this is not honorary," he told TMZ.com. "I put in four and a half hard years staying up late at night, studying, reading, rewriting papers Dr. Kopp marked up."
