9. Yvette Wilson dead at 48
Yvette Wilson has passed away at the age of 48.
The actress, who is best known for her role as Andell on "Moesha" and "The Parkers," lost her battle with cervical cancer last night.
Her friend Jeffery Pittle told CNN that Yvette died around 7 p.m. on Thursday.
Another of Yvette’s colleagues and friends, Shar Jackson, had been asking her Twitter followers to pray for Yvette over the last few days. Last night, though, she shared her grief.
"Oh God. My heart is soooo unbelievably broken," Shar tweeted. "I wanna thank all my tweeties for their prayers but God has chosen to take my sister Yvette home."
