5. Jerry Sandusky on suicide watch
Now that he’s been convicted of sexually abusing young boys, authorities want to make sure he doesn’t kill himself.
ABC News reports that the former Penn State basketball coach has been placed on suicide watch.
Jerry was taken to the Centre County jail Friday night in handcuffs after being found guilty on 45 counts of child rape and sexual abuse. A judge in the case revoked his bail had Jerry locked up to be evaluated by the Sexual Offenders Assessment Board for pre-sentencing report.
He is being held in protective custody separate from the other inmates at the jail, where he will stay for about 90 days before he is officially sentenced.
