1. Diggy Simmons gets show on BET
BET is setting up Diggy Simmons to be the star of his own show. Shadow and Act reports that the reality TV star/rapper has signed on to do TV movie for BET that will act a backdoor pilot.
Diggy’s project will be in good hands as the show, a comedy being billed as a fresh and edgy spin on "Entourage," is being produced Mara Brock-Akil and Salim Akil. This venture will be done under their development deal with BET.
Teyana Taylor and Bria Murphy will be starring alongside Diggy on the show. Teyana will play Diggy’s ex-girlfriend while Bria’s character will be dating Manny (played by Allen Maldonado).
