2. Apollo to hold Amateur Night auditions
You could be exactly what the Apollo Theater is looking for! The legendary Harlem landmark will be holding auditions for its 2013 Amateur Night season on September 29.
Try-outs will be held from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. The best acts will secure a spot to compete for the Amateur Night grand prize of $10,000 for adults and $2,000 for kids.
Singers, dancers, musicians, actors, spoken word poets and comedians are all encouraged to audition.
