Although he’d pledged to fight the molestation allegations like David fought Goliath, things were settled a bit more peacefully when embattled pastor Eddie Long decided to pay his four accusers instead of go to trial. That decision resulted in more questions about the church leader’s guilt. Since the settlement, a fifth suspected victim has been identified, Eddie’s wife has filed for divorce, the pastor has taken a leave from the pulpit, and the New Birth school has closed. What a year!
