4. 1998 – Ol’ Dirty Bastard interrupts Song of the Year Award winner
The late rapper Ol’ Dirty Bastard had the original “I’mma let you finish” moment in 1998, when the former Wu Tang Clan member interrupted singer Shawn Colvin during what was supposed to be her acceptance speech. ODB came on and went off about the group’s earlier loss to Diddy for Best Rap Album. Oh, and we should mention: Wu Tang Clan wasn’t even nominated for that category!
